THE COMPANY:
Our client is a growing organisation operating within the energy efficiency, retrofit and building services sector. They deliver residential energy upgrade projects across Ireland and are experiencing significant growth as demand for sustainable construction and energy-saving initiatives continues to increase.
Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a BER Assessor to join their team at their Ashbourne office.
THE ROLE:
This is a full-time office-based role where the successful candidate will work closely with homeowners, assessors, project managers and delivery teams to support residential energy upgrade projects.
Using BER data and specialist software, you will assess residential properties, identify suitable upgrade recommendations and guide customers through available grant-supported solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are technically viable, compliant and ready for successful delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
• Reviewing BER assessments and residential property performance data
• Assessing energy upgrade opportunities and retrofit options
• Advising homeowners on suitable energy improvement measures
• Supporting grant and compliance requirements for domestic upgrade projects
• Conducting online and telephone consultations with customers
• Preparing proposals, reports and upgrade recommendations
• Coordinating project information with internal delivery teams
• Supporting project handovers to Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors
• Liaising with homeowners, BER assessors and internal stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate project records and compliance documentation
THE PERSON:
We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within building services, engineering, construction, sustainability, energy management or retrofit environments. However, we are also open to candidates from closely related industries who are interested in developing a career within the energy efficiency sector.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Engineering, Building Services or Construction-related background
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Good understanding of residential construction methods and building fabric
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organisational and reporting capabilities
• Good IT and systems skills
• BER, retrofit or energy efficiency experience would be advantageous
• A proactive and self-motivated approach
THE PACKAGE:
