BIM Technician
Location: Carlow | Full-Time | Permanent

THE ROLE:
As a BIM Technician, you'll support the delivery of water and wastewater projects through the creation and coordination of engineering drawings and BIM models across all stages of project development.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD and BIM software
- Develop and maintain P&IDs, general arrangement drawings and site layouts
- Create and coordinate 3D BIM models across mechanical, electrical and civil disciplines
- Carry out clash detection and design coordination activities
- Generate drawing outputs directly from BIM models
- Work closely with engineering teams to develop coordinated designs
- Manage drawing registers, revisions and document control processes
- Support BIM standards and ISO 19650 compliance across projects
THE PERSON:
This role will suit an experienced BIM Technician, CAD Technician or Design Technician with a strong background in engineering projects. Water industry experience would be ideal, but candidates from utilities, energy, process, industrial or infrastructure projects will also be considered.
- Experience as a BIM Technician, CAD Designer or Design Technician
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD
- Experience using Revit, Navisworks, Plant 3D and BIM 360
- Background working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Understanding of BIM methodologies and design coordination processes
- Experience managing technical drawings and document control
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, BIM, CAD, Design Technology or a related discipline
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

LOCATION:
