THE COMPANY:


Our client is a respected precision engineering specialist serving a diverse range of industries including medical devices, aerospace, automation, manufacturing and industrial engineering. Known for their quality, technical expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction, they continue to invest in both advanced machinery and employee development.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their Dublin-based manufacturing team.


THE ROLE:


The successful CNC Machinist will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC machinery while ensuring components are manufactured to exact customer specifications and quality standards.

This is a hands-on position offering exposure to a variety of challenging and technically interesting projects within a precision engineering environment.


Key responsibilities include:


• Programming CNC milling and/or turning machines

• Setting and operating CNC equipment

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications

• Selecting appropriate tooling and machining processes

• Conducting first-off inspections and quality checks

• Adjusting machine programs and offsets where required

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing

• Troubleshooting machining issues and optimising cycle times

• Maintaining quality and safety standards throughout production

• Collaborating with engineering and production teams to meet customer deadlines


THE PERSON:


We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within CNC machining, precision engineering, toolmaking, manufacturing or mechanical engineering environments.


The ideal candidate will have:


• Previous CNC programming, setting and operating experience

• Experience with CNC milling, turning or multi-axis machining centres

• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation

• Experience using CAD/CAM software would be advantageous

• Excellent attention to detail and quality focus

• Knowledge of precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
