THE COMPANY:

Our client is a leading Irish engineering business specialising in HVAC, Building Management Systems (BMS), automation and energy solutions. They work across a wide range of sectors including pharmaceutical manufacturing, commercial buildings, healthcare, laboratories and industrial facilities throughout Ireland.

Due to continued growth within their service division, they are seeking an Electrician / Service Engineer to join their Dublin-based team.

THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and supporting Building Management Systems across a portfolio of customer sites throughout the Leinster region. The role is predominantly field-based, offering a high level of autonomy and variety.

Full support and training will be provided for candidates looking to further develop their knowledge of automation and BMS systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on BMS systems

• Responding to breakdowns and customer callouts

• Working on ABB Cylon and Siemens building management systems

• Diagnosing electrical, controls and automation faults

• Scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities with the Service Manager

• Identifying opportunities for upgrades and energy-saving initiatives

• Completing service reports and documentation promptly

• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within electrical maintenance, facilities management, HVAC, industrial maintenance, building services or automation environments. However, we are also open to qualified electricians looking to move into the BMS and controls sector.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Electrician or strong electrical background

• Experience working in a service or maintenance environment

• Good electrical fault-finding ability

• Exposure to controls, automation, HVAC or BMS systems would be advantageous

• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

• Good IT skills

• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

• Full clean driving licence
