Field Service Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading provider of access and mobility technology solutions. This role offers a great mix of hands-on engineering, customer interaction, problem solving and project work, making it an ideal position for an engineer looking to further develop their technical skills while working with industry-leading technology.

Our client is a global leader in access control and mobility solutions, delivering innovative technology to customers across a broad range of sectors including healthcare, retail, commercial property, transport, education and leisure. Due to continued growth across Ireland, they are seeking to add a Field Service Engineer to their service team covering to the greater Dublin area / Leinster region.
Role:
The successful Field Service Engineer will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, installing and supporting customer systems across The greater Dublin area / Leinster. Full product and systems training will be provided, including specialist training programmes and ongoing technical development.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and networking faults.
- Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing activities.
- Installing, commissioning and configuring new systems and equipment.
- Providing technical support and advice to customers.
- Carrying out troubleshooting and fault-finding on customer sites.
- Working closely with project managers, technical support teams and customers.
Person:
This role would suit candidates from service engineering, systems engineering, networking, automation, access control, security systems or electromechanical engineering backgrounds.
Key requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a field service, systems engineering or technical support environment.
- Strong IT and networking knowledge.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own territory.
- Full clean driving licence.
Desirable experience:
- Electrical, automation or electromechanical systems.
- CCTV, parking systems or access control systems.
- Software, database or networking support experience.
- Previous installation and commissioning experience.
