THE ROLE:
This Field Service Engineer role focuses on the ongoing operation and maintenance of solar PV installations. You'll be responsible for monitoring performance, carrying out preventative maintenance, investigating faults and ensuring systems operate at maximum efficiency.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on solar PV systems
- Diagnose faults and complete corrective maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot inverters, LV systems, DC strings and associated equipment
- Monitor system performance and investigate operational issues
- Complete inspections, maintenance reports and service documentation
- Support system commissioning and occasional installation activities
- Manage spare parts and maintenance records
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety and quality standards
THE PERSON:
This role will suit an Electrician, Electrical Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Technician looking to build a career within renewable energy. Direct solar experience is highly desirable, but the company is also keen to speak with strong electrical candidates looking to transition into the sector.
- Qualified Electrician, Electrical Engineer or similar electrical background
- Experience carrying out maintenance, fault-finding and repair work
- Solar PV experience would be highly advantageous
- Able to read electrical schematics and single-line diagrams
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
- Good reporting and communication skills
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel

LOCATION:
Ideally based in Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wicklow, Carlow, Kilkenny or Waterford, but open to candidates located across Leinster who are happy to travel to customer sites.
