THE COMPANY:
Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer of advanced testing and measurement systems used throughout the aerospace, automotive, medical device, manufacturing, plastics, composites and research sectors.
Operating across North America, they are known for their engineering excellence, innovative technology and commitment to customer support. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Field Service Engineer to support their expanding customer base.
THE ROLE:
The successful Field Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, servicing and repair of highly technical testing and measurement systems across the territory.
The role involves significant customer interaction and offers excellent variety, with engineers supporting laboratories, manufacturers and research facilities across multiple industries.
Key responsibilities include:
• Installing and commissioning testing equipment
• Carrying out preventative maintenance activities
• Performing calibration work to industry standards
• Troubleshooting electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical systems
• Supporting customers with technical advice and training
• Producing service and calibration documentation
• Supporting software and system configuration activities
• Working closely with customers to maximise equipment performance
• Managing a travel-intensive territory
THE PERSON:
We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within field service engineering, calibration, laboratory equipment, automation, instrumentation, industrial maintenance or manufacturing environments. However, we are also open to candidates from closely related industries with strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience
• Strong customer-facing skills
• Experience supporting technical equipment in the field
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Authorization to work in the United States
THE PACKAGE:
• Base Salary: $70,000 – $78,000 DOE
• Bonus: Up to $5,000 annually

LOCATION:
Ideally based in Charlotte but open to candidates located within approximately two hours including Concord, Gastonia, Rock Hill, Salisbury, Hickory, Statesville, Mooresville, Winston-Salem and Greensboro.
