THE COMPANY
Our client is a well-established supplier of specialist machinery and equipment, supporting customers throughout Ireland. With a strong reputation for service and customer support, they are seeking a Parts Advisor to join their Portlaoise operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with parts, stores, warehouse, logistics or customer service experience who enjoys a hands-on role and wants to build a long-term career within a growing organisation.
THE ROLE
The successful Parts Advisor will play a key role in ensuring customers and field-based engineers receive the parts and support they need to keep equipment operating efficiently.
This is a varied position combining warehouse operations, stock control, customer service and parts administration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing and dispatching parts orders for customers and service personnel
- Managing incoming deliveries and checking goods received from suppliers
- Creating supplier orders and maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Processing customer and internal parts enquiries
- Carrying out stock counts and inventory checks
- Maintaining accurate parts and inventory records
- Supporting parts returns and warranty processes
- Assisting with warehouse organisation and housekeeping
- Delivering excellent customer service both in person and over the phone
- Supporting engineers and internal departments with parts availability
- Assisting with local parts deliveries and collections when required
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and company procedures
THE PERSON
We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within parts, stores, warehouse operations, logistics, machinery, automotive, agricultural equipment, construction equipment or industrial environments.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a parts, stores or warehouse role
- Strong organisational and administration skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Experience managing stock and inventory
- Comfortable using computer systems and Microsoft Office
- Forklift experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided
- Full driving licence
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive, team-focused attitude
- Ability to work in a hands-on environment
THE PACKAGE
- Base Salary: €40,000 – €45,000 DOE
