Product Specialist – Medical Devices

Location: Leinster-based | Covering Ireland

· Global medical device manufacturer - over 100 years in the market

· €55,000 – €65,000 base + €20,000 OTE

· Company car, pension, life assurance & income protection

· Open to both medical sales professionals and clinical backgrounds - You must currently either be in a medical sales role or be from a clinical background; this role is not open to people outside of these criteria

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a global leader in the medical devices sector with over a century of history and a dominant presence across the Irish healthcare market. With a portfolio of market-leading international brands, a strong reputation for innovation and a structured approach to onboarding and development, this is a business that genuinely invests in its people and offers clear pathways for progression both commercially and into specialist or leadership roles.

THE ROLE:

This is a nationwide Product Specialist position covering hospitals across Ireland, with a preference for candidates based in Leinster. You will be responsible for promoting and supporting a critical care portfolio including equipment and associated consumables, working closely with clinical and procurement stakeholders across both public and private hospitals.

Day-to-day, you will be managing and growing existing hospital accounts, identifying new opportunities, delivering clinical education, and engaging with consultants, nurses, clinical specialists, procurement teams and hospital management. This is a consultative, relationship-driven role with a strong emphasis on clinical credibility and education — you will need to be as comfortable presenting to a consultant as you are supporting a product evaluation on the ward.

THE PERSON:

We are open to two candidate profiles for this role.

Candidates from a medical sales background should have a proven track record selling into hospitals or secondary care in Ireland, ideally with exposure to critical care and acute care products.

Candidates from a clinical background — nurses or clinical professionals with experience in ICU, theatre or acute care — who are ready to transition into a commercial, education-focused role will also be strongly considered.

Regardless of background, you should be driven, clinically credible and relationship-focused, with strong communication and presentation skills and the confidence to engage at all levels within a hospital environment. Candidates should be based in Leinster. A full, clean Irish driving licence is required.

THE PACKAGE:

  • Base Salary: €55,000 – €65,000 (DOE)
  • OTE: €20,000+
  • Company car
  • Pension
  • Laptop & mobile

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global market leader with a strong Irish presence, a market-leading critical care portfolio and a genuine commitment to the development and progression of its commercial team.

Apply in confidence to discuss further.
