THE COMPANY:

Our client is a leading provider of energy, engineering and building services solutions, delivering projects and maintenance services across commercial, industrial and public sector environments.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Technical Support Manager to strengthen their technical team and provide engineering leadership across multiple projects and customer accounts.

THE ROLE:

The successful Technical Support Manager will provide technical guidance and support to customers, project teams and internal stakeholders while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical standards.

This role combines technical leadership, customer engagement, project support and engineering mentorship. Working closely with senior management, you will help drive engineering best practice while supporting the delivery of a growing portfolio of works.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical support and expertise to customers and internal teams

• Reviewing project specifications, designs and technical documentation

• Supporting project planning, engineering reviews and project delivery activities

• Conducting site visits and technical assessments

• Assisting project teams with technical problem-solving and engineering decisions

• Acting as a technical escalation point for customers and engineers

• Supporting engineering compliance, standards and quality requirements

• Mentoring and developing junior engineers and technical personnel

• Working closely with project managers to ensure projects are delivered successfully

• Providing technical input into bids, proposals and customer solutions

• Identifying opportunities for service improvements and engineering best practice

• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships

THE PERSON:

We are looking to speak with candidates who have experience within building services, mechanical engineering, HVAC, energy services, facilities management or industrial engineering environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Mechanical Engineering degree or recognised mechanical trade qualification

• Strong technical background within HVAC, mechanical services, energy or building services

• Experience supporting projects from planning through to completion

• Excellent troubleshooting and engineering problem-solving skills

• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management experience

• Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting junior engineers

• Good commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work across multiple projects and priorities

• Full driving licence
