THE ROLE:
As a Tekla Detailer, you'll be responsible for producing accurate fabrication and erection drawings for structural steel projects, while working closely with project managers, engineers and production teams.
- Produce detailed steel fabrication and erection drawings using Tekla Structures
- Create GA drawings, connection details and material schedules
- Coordinate with engineers, fabricators and project teams throughout project delivery
- Review design information and identify potential issues before fabrication
- Support production teams with technical information and drawing updates
- Ensure all drawings meet project specifications and industry standards
- Manage revisions and maintain drawing records
- Assist with project coordination from design through to manufacture
THE PERSON:
This role will suit a Tekla Detailer, Steel Detailer, CAD Technician or Structural Technician with experience in structural steel projects. Candidates who have experience within fabrication, steelwork or construction environments will be particularly well suited.
- Experience using Tekla Structures
- Background in steel detailing, structural steel or fabrication projects
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
- Good understanding of steel fabrication and installation processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience liaising with engineers, fabrication teams and project managers
- Relevant qualification in Engineering, CAD, Construction or a related discipline is advantageous
- Good communication and organisational skills
